Clare has been in active recovery from her own alcohol addiction for nearly 20 years. Her first hand experience, and experiencing her husband’s (Kevin Kennedy) battle with the disease, inspired her to dedicate her life to working with people in recovery.
As well as being The Queen of Kennedy St CiC, Clare is also the director of her own recovery coaching practice in Brighton. Addiction Management UK is a private practice, offering support to high functioning addicts.
Clare has spent many years volunteering in the recovery community. Most recently, collaborating with St Peter’s church, Brighton, for the last four years and a variety of other faith groups. ’Safe Haven’ projects, based at St Peter’s provide meals, companionship, peer mentors, recovery coaching & signposting to appropriate services, accommodation and other essential services to rough sleepers in the local area.
As well as the work she does in and around Brighton, Clare is a busy mum to two young daughters and recently graduated from The School of Social Entrepreneurs.
